“Mamady Mansare is not just a master of African traditional flute, he is an all-around artist who knows how to entertain an audience while representing African music at its best. As a booking agent who has worked with Mamady many times providing traditional African music for different kinds of events, I can highly recommend Mamady. I look for artists who are excellent at their craft while being professional and reliable on the business side. I can honestly say Mamady is among the best artists I have encountered.”

"I have traveled to Guinea and stayed with Mamady Mansare and his family on three separate occasions, and each time I stayed longer and loved it more. The people, the music, the food, everything about it was amazing and I always learned so much. The dance and music teachers were top notch, and there were also lots of interesting cultural events to attend. Traveling outside the city to Mamady’s home village was a huge highlight for me. Guinea is a beautiful, complicated, exhilarating country, and Mamady is a perfect host. 10/10 highly recommend it if you want a big, life-changing adventure you’ll never forget."

Mamady Mansare has been my Malinke song and history teacher for many years now. He has been such a blessing to me, patiently explaining each song's literal meaning as well as its deeper meaning and tying that all in with the history of the song, culture, and people. He has opened my mind to the vastness of the Malinke world with such patience, kindness, humor, incredible knowledge, and generosity. I would highly recommend people to take his tour in Guinea and be assured that they will be in the best of hands.

During the summer of 2021, I was tasked with the opportunity to create an arts camp for the students of Reynoldsburg City Schools. I wanted to provide a well-rounded experience for students and engage them in cultural music. I networked with Mamady Mansare with African Cultural Arts Institute to provide a workshop for our students during Summer Arts Camp. Mamady provided us with an itinerary that was very organized and well thought out. He was engaging with the students and provided them with an amazing experience in african drums and dance. This educational experience kept students smiling, moving, and exploring. I was satisfied with the work of Mamady and the authentic experience he offered to our students. We were so excited to have such an opportunity offered to Reynoldsburg City Schools' students and can't wait for future endeavors to work with Mamady and African Cultural Arts Institute.

My study of music in Guinea was a life-changing. Not only did I learn about the amazing music and dance but also studying the tambin with Mamady Mansare (Baba) was an inspiring and enriching experience. The things I learned with Baba are still with me to this day and I can remember the very first songs he taught me to play. My experiences have made me a better music teacher in the United States and a more aware person about the richness of the music from Guinea.

Mamady’s camp was warm and inviting. Our accommodations were very comfortable. Delicious, fresh meals were served every day and there was even a magasin next door to buy biscuit and coca! We took side trips to Kindia and the market, in between our busy class schedule of drum, dance, and song. We’re so appreciative of all the people who helped make our trip an awesome experience.
